let's get to know each other
My name is Jamie
I have always been drawn to the art of helping others. Since 2006, I have worked as a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant, providing care to the perinatal community in Campbell River, BC.
The inception of Nurtured Nest Collective emerged from my enduring aspiration to extend my support to the perinatal community in the field of mental health, following the completion of my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology.
About Me:
Vancouver Island on Canada's west coast is the place I'm lucky enough to call home. I'm a mom to four amazing kids, ranging from toddlers to teenagers, so life is always full and never boring. The other hat I wear is as a Registered Nurse, supporting families through labour, birth, and the early days of postpartum care at my local hospital & public health unit.
When I'm not at work or with my family, you will find me walking the beach with my Goldendoodle, exploring the backcountry on camping trips, or working in my dahlia garden. I also love getting lost in a good book and have yet to meet a sparkling water I didn't want to try.
Becoming a parent is an incredible experience, but it can also feel overwhelming at times. Whether you're pregnant, preparing for birth, adjusting to life with a new baby, or working through feeding challenges, I'm here to support you with compassionate, evidence-based care.
I believe that feeling heard, supported, and connected makes all the difference. My goal is to create a space where you can ask questions, build confidence, and feel empowered as you navigate this chapter of your life.
